3 Things You Need to Remember This Week

3 Things You Need to Remember This Week

Hello, Sunshines! I am writing this post today to share just 3 things you need to remember this week. Whether you’re feeling empowered and motivated to crush the week ahead, or feeling a little low and in need of a pep talk, please remember these

The Key to Self Development in University

The Key to Self Development in University

Self development in university is one of the most important things you’ll get out of the whole experience. It’s a time when you grow, change, and really find yourself. But sometimes it can be so difficult figuring out just how to do this. With my graduation coming

FALL DATE IDEAS IN WINNIPEG ARE HERE!

Who says the fun dates have to end when summer does? Whether you’re just starting to see someone new and are wanting to go on all the cute dates, or it’s been 5 years like Nico and I and you feel like you’ve done everything, I put together a fall bucket list of our fave fall date ideas in Winnipeg to help make the most of one of (in my opinion) the most romantic seasons of the year! If you’re not from Winnipeg, don’t sweat it – All these ideas can easily be picked up and applied to whatever city you do live in!

FALL DATE IDEAS

PICK A PUMPKIN TO CARVE:

We love visiting  a pumpkin patch! Grab an apple cider and your scarf, and head out to find the perfect pumpkin. I loveee driving around and seeing all the pretty fall colours, and since most patches are outside of city limits like our go-to place Schwabe Pumpkins, it’s the perfect time! Then bring it back home and carve it, or better yet, paint it! I’ve seen a ton of beautiful ways to paint a pumpkin on Pinterest, giving your pumpkin a bit of a face lift and turn it into pretty decor.

BAKE FALL COOKIES:

Baking cookies sounds so simple, but it’s but the most fun way to get yourself feelin’ fall. Nico obsesses over the Pilsbury pumpkin cookies so obvs we make them every year, but I’ve also been dying to make real pumpkin cookies! There’s a million recipes on Pinterest, and I’ve made it a goal to at least try 2 different recipes this month!

WATCH A FOOTBALL GAME:

Fall & football just go together, and I truly think the only reason I wish I was American (aside from having Target) is because of how much fun tailgating looks! Next best thing though: a Winnipeg Blue Bombers game. Although I’m not a regular football fan, it’s a fun way to spend an afternoon or evening together. Plus your guy will love you for it after dragging him to so many pumpkin patches…

MOVIE NIGHT:

Whether its a Netflix night in with all the comfy blankets, or an actual theatre date, there’s no better time to cozy up and watch the movies than in the fall! Nico and I rarely go out to movies, but anytime we do we remember how much we love to! Lately we’ve been going a little more often than usual because it’s the perfect way to get yourself out of the house when it’s a little too chilly to do much else.

TIP: bring a large blanket scarf to the theatre! It doubles as a blanket as the movie theatre is always cold!

HAUNTED HOUSE or OTHER HAUNTED ATTRACTIONS:

We absolutely LOVE the month of October for all the fun Halloween events that go on! We typically check out these kind of things with a group of friends, but it can totally be done as a date night as well! Our faves in Winnipeg: Fear4YourLife and Six Pines, but I’ve heard Terror on 12 is one to add to the list!

That’s it for our list! Make the most of your October with these fun, easy & cheap date ideas for you & the bf, or for your group of gals!

3 FALL 2018 KNITS YOU NEED

There’s no denying that stocking up on knit sweaters is the best part of fall! Despite having more than a few variations of fall knit sweaters in my closet, I cannot say no to adding a couple more each year! So long to boring knits,
