la Vie en Rose Swimsuits Summer
Summer is short here in most of Canada, but that doesn’t mean we don’t make the most of it. As a summer girl myself (seriously, I hate fall and winter…), I maximize my sunshine time and spend nearly every day I can in a bikini! This year, I put la Vie en Rose swimsuits to the test by trying out various styles and it’s safe to say they all passed with flying colours.
The key things I look for when buying a swimsuit are these:
- Is it stylish? A swimsuit is a summer style statement, so I always look for a chic silhouette, unique design details, or some really great cool colours or patterns.
- Is it good quality? Is it going to get me through the summer, or end up ripped or pilled after just a few wears?
- Does it have compression and coverage? There’s nothing more uncomfortable than a swimsuit that is nearly see through, or shows way too much skin, or doesn’t hit your waistline in a flattering way.
- Is it affordable? Swimsuits are so crucial to a summer wardrobe, but I don’t like to break the bank on them knowing there’s a good chance they’ll get dirty, chlorine stained from the pool, not to mention they’re really just tiny squares of fabric!
- Is it sustainable? Even better if it’s made from recycled materials and good for our planet.

We love a bold orange moment and a rib detail! This suit is the perfect everyday tanning swimsuit, as the bottoms offer a hipster waist, and the top a deep V-cut to let the sun in where it should and perfect that glow. After all, if you’re wearing orange, you better be showcasing your bronzed skin.
B&W RIB Recycled Fibers Bralette Bikini Top and B&W RIB High Leg Bikini Bottom
A sporty chic style that’s perfect for water activities! With a straight across neckline, this suit may not be suited for tanning but it’s perfect for getting your swim, surf, or SUP on keeping you all in place when things get wavy. I also love the colour block detail of the black and white, and of course, ribbed fabric.

A classic ‘kini in a vibrant tone! I love all things bright, but I love that the silhouette of this suit kept things subtle. It’s an upgrade from your basic string bikini with a bit more of an elevated top, and a cute but ruche to flatter you from behind. I don’t always love a tie up side because they can be unflattering, but I love how I could pull these up for a more high rise fit without looking weird! The perfect suit for a pool party! You know those summer days spent at a backyard BBQ or hanging around the pool deck, eating, drinking, with a ton of people? This suit was made for that.
