STRIPE IT DOWN

I’ve never been one to categorize my style. I find it is constantly evolving with me. As I grow, it grows. As my lifestyle changes, it changes. As trends come and go, my styles come and go. I think that’s what I love about fashion, it’s part of your identity, but it’s a part that you can play around with and experiment.

You’ll find me in a clean and casual outfit (like the one you see here) when I’m out and about, but next you’ll see me in an out-there gold jumpsuit at an event, or in a flowy baby blue dress on vacation.

One thing I’ve been loving for quite some time is off-the-shoulder tops. I’ve been hooked for over a year now, and they never fail to disappoint! There’s something about their simplicity that make them perfect for casual wear, but still have a little bit of fun & flair making them easy to dress up as well! This simple black and white striped cold-shoulder is Design Lab by Lord & Taylor. Also currently less than half the price than when I bought it so get on it!

Paired with this is a pair of mid-rise raw-edge black denim. The straight-snips make your jeans just a little more edgy, but still put together. And I love the way they hit just above the ankle leaving room to show the buckles of my heel, cause there is absolutely nothing worse than pants that are too long and bunched up above your heels.

And I am obsessed with these block heels! So versatile, they can be worn with jeans, with black culottes, or with a fun dress. They’re currently on sale for just over $30 so get these staple shoes while you can!

With my accessories, I tend to try not to mix and match tones. If I’m wearing a gold watch, I’ll only wear gold bracelets and earrings (rings are an exception). I usually base my choice of accessory tone by my shoes or bag. If the detailing on those two are gold, then the jewelry I choose will be gold. Of course this doesn’t always work out, but I try my best to stick to one tone only! Here I paired a Michael Kors watch with two delicately thin Michael Kors bangles.
