TRANSFORMING THE CONCEPT OF ATHLEISURE WITH MPG

Whether you’re looking to make 2018 the year of curating your new signature style or to create a healthier more productive lifestyle, you need to know about one of my favourite brands, MPG!

MPG APPAREL

Hitting the streets over the past few years has been “Athleisure”, a concept combining athletic wear with everyday casual wear. But recently, MPG has taken the concept to new heights by designing lines of clothing that blends fashion with function. With my busy days and non-stop schedule, anything to save me just a few minutes throughout the day is huge, so with MPG’s versatile pieces, I’m able to get dressed in the morning knowing I’ll be set for all aspects of my day and not need to worry about lugging around multiple outfits for the day. I’m a diehard for modern basics as key pieces in my closet, but MPG’s basics are so elevated that I’d refer to them as luxury basics, only without the hefty price tags. Plus, with such versatile pieces, your gym wear  doubles as business casual making it easier to design a wardrobe with minimal pieces, if taking on a more minimalistic approach to your wardrobe is something you’re striving for this year, (something I think many of us can relate to!), this brand is made for you

WHY I LOVE MPG

As a full time student with an office job and a very busy life, I’m always on the run, and often times I don’t have the time to switch up my looks for different aspects and events within my day. With simple, modern pieces, MPG provides the essentials that all our wardrobes have been lacking, but with built in versatility allowing you to style those pieces for whatever the day throws at you! I absolutely LOVE that one simple look can be worn to work, for running errands, or for a quick workout class. The sleek look of all their products create a simple base for your style, allowing YOU to own the details, and keep it minimalistic or make it trendy with the addition of accessories.

MPG focuses on fusing a fashionable edge into performance gear, culminating in a lifestyle brand and pieces that act twofold: they can take you from a day at the office to evening dinner and drinks, from yoga in the morning to your afternoon flight. With innovative fabric technologies like tech twill and performance denim, MPG pieces fit comfortably and provide flexibility and stretch to fit your body, with an elevated fashion design ensuring style isn’t compromised by function but rather they meet equally in the middle. Seriously, could you ask for anything better?

LOCAL WINNIPEG LOVE

Aside from the fashion forward functionality, another thing I love about MPG is that they’re local, from Winnipeg, Canada. MPG is a division of Mondetta Clothing, based right here in the lovely locale of Manitoba! Since Mondetta’s founding in the 1980’s they’ve been infamous for high quality apparel and MPG is no exception. MPG has been successful in mastering the fine line between business casual and performance gear, for affordable prices that give you that contemporary à la mode look without spending a fortune.

MY LOOK

This look is something I’d be seen in either on a chilly winter day at the office, or running around on my day off! Wearing Bexley skinny pants, I feel as if I’m wearing yoga pants but give off the look of a dark hued twill denim, classy enough to even wear as dress pants! During my most recent road trip, the Granville Fleece Coat came in SO handy! I layered it over a sweater, and stayed oh-so cozy all throughout the 14 hour ride. Not only is it uber comfy, but one thing I rely on when traveling is big pockets – for my phone, credit cards, passport, and anything else I need easy access to. This coat’s large zippered pockets did not disappoint. With the look I’m pictured in here, I opted for the basic cashmere tee underneath – a piece that I could even wear to the gym just by swapping a sports bra underneath!
